According to the Daily Mail, Phil Foden's girlfriend, Rebecca Cook, appears to be selling England's World Cup jersey on the secondhand website Vinted.

Manchester City star Phil Foden was surprisingly left out of Thomas Tuchel's summer squad, and it seems this omission also surprised his partner.

According to The Sun, 25-year-old Cook is selling England's white home kit and red away kit, apparently in preparation for Foden's inclusion in the squad.

She priced each jersey at £70 on the secondhand website, although all of them had been slightly altered.

These alterations come from a clothing brand that has tightened the waistline. Ellie Watkins, wife of England football star Ellie Watkins, was also photographed wearing a similar style in the United States.

The report states that Essex-based company A Vintage Fit altered these jerseys to a "slim fit" for £180.

Cook intends to sell the two jerseys for £70 each; they are “brand new with tags” and come in sizes 12 to 14, a price cheaper than the £89.99 price on the England team’s official website.

Cook and Foden have three children. It is believed that she listed over 100 items on her Vinted page, including four similar altered Manchester City shirts.

Her account bio reads: "Only sells new and used authentic items. The account is managed by a team."

A source told The Sun, referring to her attempt to sell the England jersey: "Perhaps Rebecca felt like she was about to board the plane when she got the shirt."

Foden's performance in the 2025-26 season was less than ideal, with Manchester City missing out on the league title for the second consecutive year, but he still contributed 12 goal involvements in the Premier League.

Earlier this week, Foden spoke about his omission from the World Cup squad during Manchester City's preseason tour in Asia.

He said, "I took some time away from football, spent quality time with my family, and rested for a while."

"Going into the new season, I just want to have a really great season, help the team as much as possible, strive to be one of the leaders, and hope to win the championship!"
