The 22-year-old Senegalese international has reportedly received offers exceeding £35 million, which would have made him one of the club's most expensive signings in history.

Camara has made 49 appearances for Senegal and participated in this summer's World Cup.

He moved from Metz to Monaco in 2024, reportedly for a fee of €15 million (£12.8 million). Before coming to France, he performed well at several renowned Senegalese youth academies.

Crystal Palace have completed four signings this summer: loan striker Guessan from Aston Villa, winger McNeil from Everton, Brennan Johnson in the deal, and former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu on a free transfer this week.

These signings came after Pierre Sager took over as Crystal Palace's new manager. This summer he replaced Oliver Glasner, who now manages Nottingham Forest.

The Eagles will begin their Premier League campaign after their final pre-season friendly against Freiburg. They will then travel to face Everton on Saturday, August 22nd.
