Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes that Marcus Rashford's return is equivalent to a "new signing" for the team. Rashford has returned to Manchester United after his loan spell at Barcelona and has already participated in training at the Carrington training ground.
Ferdinand said Rashford can be considered a "new signing" for Manchester United, and he is excited about the 28-year-old's form after returning to training.
"Rashford is back at Manchester United's training ground, guys, and he's in such great form that he's like a perfectly tuned Gianmarco Ferrari," Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel, "Ferdinand Productions."
"He looks energetic and ready. And look, he has a smile on his face and his steps are much lighter."
"We don't know how things will develop or where they will go before the transfer window closes. But to be honest, I hope he stays; he would be a 'new signing' for Manchester United."
Could this be the same motivated Rashford who steps up and proves all the doubters and pessimists wrong?
"I hope so. Let's wait and see."
Marcus Rashford was not included in the squad for Manchester United's draw against Leeds United in Dublin on Wednesday night. The friendly against AC Milan on Saturday will be the last chance for players to get playing time before the Premier League opener against Hull City on August 22nd.
