Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will co-host a new show about Manchester United with internet celebrity Marcos Goldbridge.

This collaboration is part of an agreement between The Overlap, the media company owned by former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville, and the streaming service Disney+.

The show, titled "Stick to United with Wayne Rooney," will air on streaming platforms and on The United Stand channel, hosted by Goldbridge. The United Stand currently has 2.27 million subscribers, and The Overlap acquired the channel in April, along with That's Football.

The show has been approved for 50 episodes, six of which will air exclusively on Disney+. Disney+ will also air the popular show "Stick to Football," hosted by Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, Ian Wright, and Roy Keane. Both shows will air weekly.

In a press release, Neville said he was “very proud” to be working with Disney+, calling it a “partnership that expands our influence without compromising our identity.”

After retiring, Rooney frequently worked as a television commentator, for various media outlets, and earlier this summer he even appeared in World Cup broadcasts.

Brent DiCesare, born Brunt, founded The United Stand in 2014. His career as a creator has steadily risen with popular and controversial reaction videos surrounding Manchester United performances. In August 2025, the Bundesliga granted partial broadcasting rights to Goldbridge's That's Football channel for the first time in the UK.

The announcement of this agreement comes shortly after Gary Lineker's media company, Goalhanger, signed a two-year deal with streaming giant Netflix to broadcast "The Rest Is Football" weekly. Earlier this year, Goalhanger also signed a £14 million ($18.9 million) deal with Netflix to broadcast the show daily from a studio overlooking the Times Square skyline in New York City during the World Cup, starring Lineker, Mika Richards, and Alan Shearer.
