According to the Daily Mail, Pogba's wife has refuted claims that he should retire, and Monaco is preparing to terminate his contract.
The World Cup winner and former Manchester United midfielder has been plagued by injuries this summer. Several French media outlets report that his agent is in talks with Monaco to terminate his contract early at the club's request.
Pogba has been looking to revive his career since his suspension ended, but he only played six games last season for Ligue 1 side Monaco, earning £44,000 a week.
He suffered a knee problem after playing 45 minutes in a preseason match, and last week he added a thigh injury. Some believe his body can no longer withstand the intensity of top-level matches, and his 33-year-old wife, Zulay, spoke out for her husband on social media.

Pogba only resumed training last week after suffering an injury in the first preseason game. However, he strained his thigh in a scrimmage and was scheduled to undergo an MRI this week.
The Daily Mail sports section understands that he was recommended to a Major League Soccer club on Tuesday.
Pogba was allowed to return to football in March 2025 after his suspension was shortened following an appeal.
Last December, he negotiated a contract termination with Juventus and left the team.
When Pogba joined Monaco last summer, he was emotional, calling the return a "second chance" and a new beginning after what he called a "dark period".
