According to Bild, three Bayern Munich stars returned to preseason training this morning: Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Dayot Upamecano all went back to the pre-training medical examination process.
With one week to go before the official start of the competition, the three players participating in the World Cup first underwent physical tests, and then went to Sébena Street for physical fitness tests.
Starting at 8 a.m., the last few Bayern Munich players returning from holiday underwent comprehensive examinations by team doctor Professor Roland Schmidt, including pulmonary function tests and stress electrocardiograms. England captain Harry Kane was the first to arrive, arriving at the hospital at 7:49 a.m. in a black Audi.
French international Dayot Upamecano then arrived at 8:32 AM for a medical check-up. When reporters greeted him, the defender, sitting in the passenger seat, responded amicably and even gave a thumbs-up. The defender appeared well-prepared for the new season.
The last to arrive was Olise, who arrived at the hospital's underground parking lot at 10:45 AM wearing sunglasses. Reporters helped the French player retrieve his ticket, to which Olise replied with a "thank you" before leaving.
After completing their medical examinations, Olise, Kane, and Upamecano are likely to participate in Kompany's first training session that evening. With one week to go before the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup in Dortmund on August 22nd at 8:30 PM, Kompany will finally have a full squad ready. Bayern will host RB Leipzig on Saturday and then travel to face relegated Bundesliga side Heidenheim on Tuesday at 6 PM for their final warm-up match.
