According to Sky Sports Italia, AC Milan goalkeeper Maignan and midfielder Rabiot have resumed training together, which is good news for head coach Amorin.
With a week to go before AC Milan's first Serie A match of the 2026/27 season against Torino, Maignan and Rabiot returned to full training today. The two had previously missed summer preparations due to extra rest while with the French national team for the World Cup, sparking discontent among fans. Amorin explained after the friendly against Manchester United: "They played more games, so they had a few extra days off. Everyone complained about too many games, so I gave them three extra days off because I knew they wouldn't be able to play here anyway. It was my decision, not the players' problem. They wanted to train and will be back in Milanello tomorrow to prepare for the first match. They have their own plan and they've followed it. I hope that's clear."
Milan will have a day off on Monday (August 17) before starting preparations for their match against Torino. Gabbia and Leao are expected to return to training next week.
