Rodgers: Chelsea have the ability to compete for the title, and Palmer and I complement each other well.

According to Sky Sports, Morgan Rodgers believes Chelsea can compete for another major title, and he also said that he and Palmer know very well how to work together.

After his outstanding performance at the World Cup, Rodgers joined Chelsea from Aston Villa, immediately becoming England's most expensive player. He helped England reach the semi-finals and finish third.

The 24-year-old striker made his debut and scored in Chelsea's 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad on Saturday.

Rogers told Sky Sports: "I'm really excited. That summer was incredible."

"That was probably the only summer I didn't mind having a short vacation. I enjoyed the rest and cherished the time I spent with my family, but at the same time, I was watching the preseason games and couldn't wait to get back on the court."

After joining Stamford Bridge, Rodgers reunited with his former Manchester City teammate Palmer.

Rodgers joined Manchester City from West Bromwich Albion when he was young. During his teenage years, he played in Manchester City's youth academy with his friend and fellow attacking player, Palmer, and they also played together in the England national team.

Rodgers said: "I've seen people saying, 'How did you put them all in the squad? How are they supposed to play?'"

"Our styles are completely different. He's more like a passer, a link-up player, a combination player. He's like an artist, with a very creative way of dribbling and controlling the ball."

Rodgers knows his transfer fee will inevitably bring pressure, but taking on a key role in both club and national team is a challenge the striker is happy to accept.
