In his column for Sky Sports Germany, Lothar Matthäus analyzed some of the current situations in the Bundesliga.

Matthäus stated that the accident might be related to the hot weather or the intensity of the match, and further observation is needed. However, the most important thing is to ensure Musiala's health. If he can return to full team training in a day or two, then the problem should be minor. In contrast, if it's a recurrence of an old injury, the situation would be much more serious.
Musiala has been plagued by injuries for the past 12 months, but it should be time to turn the page. Although he didn't travel with Bayern for their Asian tour, Matthäus revealed that Musiala has been in excellent form since returning to training, and head coach Kompany is very satisfied with his performance.
Musiala came on as a substitute against Leipzig and quickly found his rhythm. Matthäus believes his excellent performance wasn't just reflected in his goals.

Matthäus stated that he judges the Ballon d'Or based on a player's performance throughout the year, rather than on a single match or World Cup.
In his view, although some players won the La Liga title with Barcelona and also helped the national team win the World Cup, if you ask who truly led everyone in overall performance throughout the year, Lamin Yamal is not his answer.
Matthäus also spoke about Messi, Mbappé, and Bellingham. Messi helped Inter Miami win the MLS title, but the level of competition in MLS cannot compare to that of Europe's top leagues; during the World Cup, Messi scored 8 goals but also missed two penalties. Mbappé reached the World Cup semi-finals with France but failed to help Real Madrid win the title; the same applies to Bellingham.
In contrast, Kane has already won two domestic titles with Bayern Munich. Matthäus believes his biggest regret is failing to reach the finals of both the World Cup and the Champions League, but apart from that, he has maintained a very high level throughout the year without any significant slump.
"Kane and Rodri are both players who let their performances speak for themselves on the pitch and don't have many off-field stories. In my opinion, Kane is the player who deserves the Ballon d'Or the most."
This Saturday, the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup will be played between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, with the two teams vying for their first trophy of the new season.
Matthäus believes Bayern Munich's current squad is more mature, and the team's overall cohesion is more complete. Dortmund let go of some players this summer, but their signings have also been impressive. However, Matthäus cautions against expecting these new signings to produce "magical effects" immediately upon arrival.
In his view, Bayern Munich remains the biggest favorite to win all domestic competitions. While Dortmund has a real chance to beat Bayern and win the Super Cup in a single match, Bayern remains the undisputed top team in German football when considering the entire season.
Lothar Matthäus expressed his regret that Said Mara ultimately failed to join Borussia Dortmund.
He believes Cologne is certainly a good option, but joining a team that competes for the title and participates in the Champions League would mean something entirely different for Elmara. Elmara had previously expressed his desire to join Dortmund, but this transfer ultimately fell through.
Matthäus believes this could have been a significant step in Mara's career. Gaining experience in European competitions would have significantly increased his chances of being selected for the German national team in the future.

Last season, Mara helped Cologne avoid relegation thanks to his goals and assists. Matthäus believes that if he can maintain this level of performance and help Cologne stay in the league, then Cologne made the right decision to keep him.
"As long as he can maintain his performance from last season, Mara's market value is unlikely to drop."
