According to Bild, Sky Sports released a preview of the new season on Tuesday, in which Hamann expressed doubt that Bayern Munich could win the title by 10 points.
The former German international believes Bayern Munich may not be able to dominate the season. Hamann made 59 appearances for the German national team and was a member of the 2002 World Cup runner-up team.
Hamann stated, "I will be cautious about this. Of course, Bayern has made significant progress under Kompany. He has stabilized the team's internal relationships and calmed everything down. However, in Munich, situations often don't require major changes to be disrupted. Dortmund has retained Felix Nmega and Nico Schlotterbeck, and Leipzig needs to be watching what happens next. If Bayern gets 85 points, they will win the title. If Bayern gives their opponents even a slight chance one year, then you'll have to be there."
When asked about his doubts about Bayern's chances of winning the title, Hamann said: "Michael Olise and Harry Kane have both had very long seasons and played in the World Cup until the very end, although neither of them played in the final. Luis Diaz has also been with Colombia for a long time. We'll have to see how they start the new season. Kane is another year older, so I'm curious. Therefore, I'm now inclined to believe that Bayern won't win by 10 points or more."
Hamann concluded, "If Bayern performs slightly weaker, I'll favor Dortmund, and even Stuttgart." He then explained his preference for Stuttgart: "I really like them! Coach Sebastian Hoeneß has done an excellent job. They've reached another cup final and played a fantastic first half. They just couldn't take the lead. This is a truly well-developed team. Hamann also commented on Jamal Musiala, who collapsed suddenly after scoring a goal against RB Leipzig in Saturday's Telekom Cup match: "He had the metal plate removed from his foot, which meant he had to stop training after the World Cup.
