Hamann said, "Of course, they have made great progress under Kompany. He has successfully restored calm to the dressing room. But in Munich, many times a small change can make all the difference." He did not rule out the possibility of underlying problems within the team.
Hamann also cautioned about the need to pay attention to competitors, but he was also aware that the pursuers were unlikely to be able to maintain constant pressure on Bayern Munich on their own. A single mistake or two by Bayern could quickly change the situation.
