A former Dutch international believes that a move to Tottenham Hotspur would allow the Liverpool striker to perform at his best.

Gullit believes that if Tottenham can sign Gakopo from Liverpool during the transfer window, the player will be able to regain his former form.
The 27-year-old striker is on De Zerby's summer transfer list, which also includes Manchester City players Savinho and Malmush. Gakpo performed admirably for the Netherlands in their World Cup campaign, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists throughout the tournament and qualifiers despite the team's early exit.
Tottenham will have to pay a hefty transfer fee to convince Liverpool to release Iraola. They will also need to find a replacement, with Paris Saint-Germain's Barcola being one of their targets.
Last season, Gakopo's playing time at Liverpool was inconsistent. He mostly came on as a substitute in the Champions League, but started more often in the Premier League in the second half of the season. He scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists for the Reds.

Dutch legend Ruud Gullit believes that if Gakopo could move to a coach like De Zerbi who is willing to support him from behind, and who doesn't have to worry about being immediately benched for every mistake, he could rediscover the form he displayed last season, helping Liverpool win the title and delivering 18 goals and 7 assists.
Gullit told NY Sports Day: "His biggest problem is his inconsistent playing time – he plays this week and is on the bench the next. I still have a lot of faith in him. He was outstanding in the season Liverpool won the title."
He added, "Gakpo needs a manager who fully trusts him, gives him the freedom to make mistakes, and doesn't immediately substitute him. He has already proven how much impact he can have on Liverpool when he plays with confidence."
