According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lautaro Martinez has no intention of joining Barcelona; his only goal at present is to start the new season for Inter Milan.
Lautaro will make his season debut in the opening league match against Monza. Besides his strong sense of belonging and deep affection for Inter Milan, there's another interesting element to this match – Monza's red jersey. As a "bull," Lautaro has always had a special connection with the color red. While the saying "bulls are angered by red" is actually just folklore, as bulls can't distinguish red like humans, Saturday night's game might provide an interesting footnote.
In contrast, the various rumors surrounding Lautaro's future are not worth paying attention to, including his recent links with Barcelona. While Barcelona may have indeed evaluated Argentine strikers like Lautaro after missing out on Julian Álvarez, Inter Milan has never considered selling their captain, top scorer, and symbol of the club. Neither the club nor Lautaro himself has any intention of opening that transfer door.
Lautaro had recently experienced a disappointing period, failing to make an appearance in the World Cup final and witnessing his team's defeat. However, he quickly returned to Chivu's training camp and donned the Nerazzurri jersey again in Inter Milan's final pre-season friendly. Lautaro played approximately 20 minutes in the match against Real Betis at the San Nicolás Stadium in Bari.
This appearance helped him regain some of the match rhythm he had temporarily lost during his vacation and officially kicked off his preparations for the new season.
