Manna stated that Napoli currently has full confidence in the team's squad and hopes to maintain the continuity of team building.
“We signed Rafa Marin two years ago, and after his loan spell, he is now ready to play for the first team. We believe the squad is very strong and hope to continue to grow this season.”
"The team is on a stable development trajectory. We are continuing the plan that we started with Conte two years ago, and we believe that the current squad is complete enough. What we want to see most now is to reduce injuries. Every coach has his own philosophy, and there is no absolutely right or wrong way. Our goal is to do our best to achieve good results."
Previous reports indicated that Napoli were monitoring Chelsea striker Gioudo and might submit an offer of around €30 million. However, Manna stated that the club would continue to monitor the market but would not act rashly.
“The head coach said yesterday that we will be monitoring the transfer market, and this will continue until September 1st. With the arrival of Badiashile, the squad is now complete. We need to assess the current squad, and Allegri is very cautious in this regard. We don’t want to weaken the team, but rather to improve it. However, external signings do not necessarily mean that they will be better than the existing players.”
Having spent heavily in the past few transfer windows, Napoli needs to complete their operations within a certain financial framework this summer. Manna revealed that if they want to sign a top player, the team might need to sell existing players first, but there are currently no such plans.
“If we want to bring in world-class players, we must first sell players in the team, but there is no such need at the moment. Hoylen and Alisson Santos both joined permanently after their loan spells ended, and they were also important signings.”
Manna also discussed the team's plans for the forward line and mentioned Lorenzo Luca's characteristics.
"Improving the squad means giving the coach more options, including different types of players. Luca is a striker with a 90s style. We don't know if we can ultimately achieve our goal, but we will continue to monitor the situation."
Furthermore, Noah Lang has recently been rumored to be leaving the club, with Ajax and Galatasaray both reportedly interested in him. However, the Dutch winger has still been included in Napoli's squad for the match against Genoa.
In response, Manna said, "He is part of the team. Like many players, he returned to the team late after participating in the World Cup and still needs to gradually regain his form."
