According to Yahoo Japan, Koki Ogawa, the Japanese national team striker who will participate in the 2026 World Cup, has reached a basic agreement with J1 League player Zelvia Machida on a transfer.

Koki Ogawa joined NEC Nijmegen from Yokohama F. Marinos in the summer of 2023. In his three seasons up to last season, he made 82 league appearances, scoring 26 goals. At the World Cup, he was involved in the equalizer in the opening group stage match against the Netherlands, and made three substitute appearances. In his international career, he made 18 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
