L'Equipe: Paraguayan goalkeeper Gil joins Lille on a 5-year contract for a transfer fee of €4 million.

According to L'Equipe, Paraguayan goalkeeper Orlando Hill has signed a five-year contract with Lille after his outstanding performance at the World Cup.

French fans first became aware of him during the World Cup Round of 16 match between Paraguay and France, a game in which France ultimately won 1-0. Some of those French fans may have cursed him for 70 minutes during that agonizing game until Kylian Mbappé scored the crucial penalty. At the end of the match, Hill also reached out to Mbappé, but received no response.
