Infantino subtly criticized UEFA for its unwillingness to allow others to develop.
In a video address, he stated that promoting the development of football in 211 countries and regions worldwide and narrowing the gap between football powerhouses and other regions is both a responsibility and a mission—but regrettably, "some people neither need nor want others to grow stronger." Infantino emphasized that financially strapped football associations must be given a chance, finding investment channels and creating development opportunities for them.
Infantino also stated, "A lot has happened in the past few weeks, and it is important to be able to respond to all questions properly and with a clear conscience."
