In the 50th minute, Lemke received the ball in the penalty area and fired a shot from 12 meters out, extending the lead to 3-0. Earlier, Albert Glenbike had scored two goals in the 41st and 46th minutes. Notably, Lemke not only scored himself but also contributed to the team's second goal.
In 1954, Uwe Zeller scored in a German Cup match against Trier at the age of 17 years and 283 days. Now, this record, held for decades by the Hamburg legend, has officially changed hands.
Lemke was substituted in the 75th minute and received a warm round of applause from the fans. He joined Hamburg from the Neanderthal Sports Union youth academy in 2023 and earned the opportunity to train with the first team during this summer's pre-season. Due to a muscle injury suffered by Swiss international Miró Muheim, Lemke has also gained the opportunity to compete for the left-back position.
